Platanorema is the utmost agro touristic farm of Athos Area. Built in the platans which grow in the stream of Gomati is the reference point between the mountain and the sea, attracting lots of special guests. Its cuisine is based on its local rich tradition: organic meat dishes, all kinds of poultry, organic vegetables, fruits, strong raki (tsipouro), organic wine…, all made with the zeal and the hands of its owner, Giannis Papastergiou, who put his soul to enliven what today is called agro- and rural tourism.
Pies and delicacies baked in front of you in the traditional wood oven, cooked grandmother’s dishes, fragrant cakes, jams from berries, handmade pasta with fresh organic milk, rural cooking techniques, but fresh fish from the Athonite Gulf, wait to fascinate you….
