You eat the best delicacies in selected restaurants of our hotels, restaurants of the coastal or mountainous areas, to the traditional taverns amd the resorts of the mountain, the fish taverns of the wonderful coastline!
The local cuisine varies from point to point…
And this happens because this land has a lot to offer: first, the variety of the local production, the local organic products, the Athonite primary sector, the many wineries, the 30 local raki cauldrons, the cheese factories, the rare plants and herbs of the Aristotelian Mountain, the fishing fleet of Ammouliani, Nea Roda, Pirgadikia, and of Olympiada…..

Kritikos Gallery & Restaurants, to Ouranoupoli, you will taste sublime Mediterranean flavours and tastes coming from the authentic Mount Athos cuisine. The restaurant has been awarded every year in Greece, Europe and USA, as one of the highest quality. (++30 2377071222)
Try exciting sea tastes and authentic local creations at the restaurant Akroyiali, in Olympiada, few meters away from the sea water, viewing the hill of Hellenistic city of Stagira and the picturesque fishing port. Unique specialty (because of the water quality) is the mussels of Olympiada, cooked in many ways by the chef Louloudia Alexiadou. (++30 2376051255, 51257).
At the agro-touristic farm Platanorema, you will taste traditional cuisine with authentic products, pies of all kinds, delicious organic meat, spits and deliciously cooked dishes by the grandmother ( ++30 2372300386). Do not hesitate to participate at the cooking lesson by Ms Anna, who prepares traditional pie dough and cooks cheese pie with feta from Ierissos, baking it in a traditional wooden oven!
But at Arnea too, in the green verdant park of St. Paraskevi, at the taverna Bakatsianos, the chef Dimitris Polizos will welcome you like old friends by offering you specialties based on the local production: wild pork stew with onions, sausages from Arnea, cheese-delicacies made by local cheeses, dishes cooked in caserole (++30 2372022750).
At Ammouliani, in the picturesque harbor, behind the traditional fishing port, the famous fish restaurant Jannis, where you will eat the freshest fish you have ever tried and specialties based on it, as fish balls, mussels a.o. Jannis itself consists a taste destination- after all, there are a lot of people visiting the island just for a lunch to Jannis. (++302377051322).
